4 Hands Brewing Company
Biography & Highlights
South Eighth Street echoes with heavy bass before you even hit the loading dock doors at 4 Hands. You're walking past parked delivery trucks and smelling hot asphalt mixed with brewing malt as the line spills off the pavement. It's loud right away. The door check is fast and they don't mess around with wristbands, just a quick stamp and you're pushed straight into the cavernous taproom where massive stainless steel fermenters tower right behind the makeshift stage setup.
Concrete floors bounce every single drum hit right back into your teeth. You can't escape the sound bouncing off the high corrugated ceiling, and honestly, you wouldn't want to. It's a loud, sweaty, industrial room. People are packed tight by the steel bar rails holding pints of local beer while a tube amplifier hums through feedback between songs. Bartenders move fast pouring drinks while the crowd sways against the edge of the massive brewing vessels.
There's no quiet lounge area out back, just wooden pallets stacked near the emergency exit and a loud ice cooler humming right next to the merch table where someone is taping up extra setlists with silver duct tape.
